Evening

I decided to weigh myself today, mostly because tomorrow I'm going to a BBQ at my sister's and there is going to be cake and other treats so I'm not counting it as a diet day. Well I lost 3 more lbs this week :) yay! Total of 8! Woohoo. I'm going to keep this going, can't hurt right ? I'm suppose to up my net carbs 5 more grams a week until I get to 40 grams a week I think. Hmmmm. I hope I can continue with the added carbs and going to school and eating yucky dining hall food. Ick. So what have I ate today then ?

Breakfast:

8:30am - Morning start breakfast bar (net carbs 2 grams)

Snack

11am - 2 celery sticks with 2 tbsps of peanutbutter (net carbs 5)

Cheat

A few potato chips (about 5 net carbs)

Dinner

6pm - Chicken breast (2) and one cheese burger (no bun, ketchup, and onion slice)

Dessert

9pm - One Atkins Fudge Brownie (net carbs 9)

Total net carbs: 21

Total weight lost since I started on Atkins: 8 lbs

(Yesterday)

Breakfast

8am - Atkins brand Morning Start breakfast bar (net carbs: 2)

Exercise

3 Miles of Walk Away the Pounds for Abs

Snack

11am - one hot dog with ketcup (no bun)

Lunch

12pm - 2 cups of salad, 1/4 cup of feta cheese, 2 slices of ham, 1 celery stick, 2 tbsp of italian dressing (total net carbs: 5)

Snack

Atkins fudge brownie (net carbs: 9 grams)

Dinner

8pm - one hot dog w/ ketchup, no bun.

Total net carbs: 16

Cheating:

A spoon of ice cream, a small atkins brownie

Water drunk: 3 - 20 fl oz glasses

9am - 2 celery sticks, 2 tbsp of peanutbutter (net carbs 4, calories: 220)

Lunch

12pm - 2 cups of salad, 1/4 cup of feta cheese, 2 slices of ham, 2 tbsp of italian dressing (total net carbs: 5)

Snack

3pm - Atkins chocolate peanutbutter bar (net carbs 2)

Dinner

8pm - 1 seasoned chicken breast

Snack

9pm - Atkins peanutbutter cups (net carbs: 2)

Total net carbs for the day: about 13 (but was probably more as I couldn't count the carbs in chicken seasoning and etc)

Cheat: 1 spoon full of ice cream

Water drunk: 3 - 20 fl oz glasses

Hmmm not a good dieting day...

Breakfast

9am - One Apple (medium)

Lunch

4pm - Slice of Pizza (BAD)

Dinner

Salad - 2 cups lettuce, 3 cherry tomatos, 1/4 cup feta cheese (net carb: 1), 2 slice of Ham, 2 tbsps of italian dressing (net carbs: 4 grams )

Water

2 - 20 fl oz cups - one more before bed

I started my period today which is a good excuse for the bad dieting day but really I wan't able to get anything Atkins friendly to eat today oh well except the salad. Tomorrow will be another bad day as I am going shopping with my sister and probably out to eat! Oh well. One good thing is my sis knows where I can get Atkins brand snacks and such so thats a bonus. I'm going to try to get through this week, I want to keep this going but it will be hard because I start college next week and classes, studying, and dining hall food may alter my plans! I will try my best!

Salad - 2 cups of lettuce, chopped onions, 3 cherry tomatos, 2 tbsp. Italian dressing (net carbs: 4 grams, calories: 90)

Lunch:

2 hot dogs with ketchup and chopped onions

Snack:

2 cups of popcorn (net carbs: 6 grams)

Dinner:

Salad - 2 cups of lettuce, 1/4 cup Feta cheese (net carbs: 1 gram, calories: 90), 2 slices of ham

Drinks:

3 diet cokes with lemon

2 - 20 fl oz glasses of water... one more before bed.

Cheats:

'Fruit' snacks. (net carbs: more than I should have had!)

Oooooo yay! Suffering has paid off! I lost 5 lbs since last Monday! Go me!

9:30am - 3 sticks of celery with peanut butter (net carbs: 5 grams, calories: 220 about)

Lunch

11:45am - 2 cups of salad, 3 cherry tomatos, chopped onion and italian dressing (net carbs 4 grams, calories ?)

Snack

2 small chocolate chip cookies (cheated!)

Dinner

1 and a 1/2 seasoned chicken breasts (net carbs ?, calories ?)

1/2 cinnamon stick (cheated!)

Not sure how many carbs I have really had today. Probably more than I'm suppose to bc I cheated twice! Ah! Weigh in tomorrow! I shall share the news if any, hopefully good! I feel a bit thinner which is good!

2 cups of lettuce, 4 mini cherry tomatos, 1 stick of celery, chopped up onions, 2 tbsp of italian dressing

4pm - Snack

2 celery sticks with peanut butter (net carbs: about 5, calories: 10 from celery, 200 from peanut butter!!) Ahh!

Water drunk so far today: 30 fl oz

Again I have to stop sneaky swedish fish candies! But other than that I am going good! Weigh in on Monday! Wish me luck!!

Breakfast

9:30am - 5 pieces of bacon (net carbs 0, calories 140)

Rest of yesterday...

Later lunch:

5 meatballs (net carbs: 0, calories 210)

One apple (wasn't suppost to have it but I did as I needed some energy)

Dinner:

1/2 Cup Caesar Salad (net carbs: 3, calories 50)

three celery sticks - (net carbs: about 2 grams, calories 15)

Yesterday is not going to count, as I cheated a bit. I ended up feeling dizzy because I hadn't had time to eat before going out with my mom so she got me Wendy's chili which the Wendy's website says has 23 grams of carbs but doesn't mention fiber so it might be less. Then for dinner we ended up going to a 50's style diner and I had a vanilla milkshake - it was like heaven! I dunno how much longer I'll stay on the Atkins diet - I'm having trouble getting up in the morning and am feeling dizzy lately grrrr. Will see how it goes until Monday.

9:45am - 3 Egg Omlette with 3 slices of honey ham (I have to say I really don't like eggs but it was alright :))

9pm - One grilled seasoned chicken breast (net carbs 0, calories unknown)

A few slices of beef (net carbs 0, calories unknown)

1 Yorkshire Pudding (net carbs: about 9 grams, calories 92)

2 cans of Diet Coke with squeezed lemon (within the time span of about 2 hours)

Total net carbs for the day: 16 grams out of the required 20 (though I might have had a few extra carbs that I forgot to count on something)

I have cheated a few times today unfortunately! I had a few swedish fish candies my mom bought which I shouldn't have, and I don't think I was suppost to have corn until after the 2 weeks induction passed. Also I haven't exercised today as my legs hurt from being on my feet all day cleaning motel rooms but I will do tomorrow morning. I don't think this diet will work and I'm worried I'm eating too much protein and not enough of something else. Pete was all worried about me as he heard on the radio of a girl on the Atkins diet having heart failure because she ate too much fatty foods and didn't get enough of something else (he wasn't sure what) :( So that scares me! I dunno I guess I'll see how it goes. I have been feeling tired probably from not having the instant gradification of carb energy. Grrrr oh well see how it goes!

Lunch:


11:45 am - 1 and a 1/2 cups of caesar salad (about 4 net carbs, 120 calories)

1:30pm - 1 Mini corn on the cob (net carbs and calories unknown)

2:00pm - 2 Burger patties minus the bun, but with ketchup (net carbs 0, calories unknown)

2:30pm - 1 Caffeine free Diet Pepsi (0 net carbs, 0 calories)

Another 20 ounces of water

Temptation:
Chips Ahoy cookies and doughnuts!! They beg me to eat them but I haven't given in

Total net carbs so far today: 7 out of 20

Started the Atkin's Diet Today - How have I done so far ?

Weight: 1*1 (Weigh in shall be on Monday for now on!)

What have I had to eat:

7am - two slices of honey baked ham (0 grams of net carbs, calories (?))

9:30am - 1 cup caesar salad (3 grams net carbs, calories: 80)

Can you tell I don't like breakfast ? Actually I didn't have time this morning to eat breakfast!

Amount of water drunk - about 20 ounces so far today

Exercise: none yet today but I walked 2 miles last night with Walk Away the Pounds for Abs.
